2019 REVIEW
I have now completed my five year plan to build my projects into bikes, and we have completed all 23, with two thirds sold. Remaining are the 1933VE, 1934 racer/bobber, a 35VLD, 35VLDD, 36VD and a 36VLH machine. Most of these are finished in Police White, but we can repaint these in any standard colour at half price if you would like to make a deal. I enjoyed the Oley and Raalte AMCA shows , and also spent time on restorations and an attack on the parts bins. We are now down to a much smaller VL parts inventory, with VL literature and restored bikes now the major activity.
Our main project this year was 'The VL Years' book series, with 1465 pages in four volumes and 113 consecutive copies of the Harley-Davidson Enthusiast and a dozen colour sales brochures digitised for your delight.

Rob Veitch is still finding more bikes - over 1300 now. Send him your engine numbers by E-Mail to RobVeitch@westnet.com.au
AMCA EUROPEAN CHAPTER
Our National Meet at the American Motorcycle Museum in Raalte, Holland, in May was a big success, and we aim to do even better this year on 22/23 May when the theme will be 1920 and earlier bikes. Check out the details at www.amca-europe.eu. Join up if you are not already a member at the main AMCA Website www.antiquemotorcycle.org.
NEW PARTS
The two rebuilt reverse gearboxes sold, so that's it after 75 rebuilds. There are two VL four speeds to finish, but the remaining four speed and reverse gearbox parts went in a trade sale to Sagebrush Cycles in Texas, Email Jon Neumann at numo@sagebrushcycle.com. The remaining three speed parts, plus the tooling for the Motolamps and the Solar lamps, is now with Tom Feeser at Replicant Metals in Pennsylvania, Email tlf@hammercreek.com. There is still parts inventory left, so anyone wishing to continue the VL Heaven business should contact me directly.
Wishing you safe and happy riding in 2020, Steve Slocombe.
