2011 REVIEW
I had a busy year with four AMCA shows and two other large ones. In the USA, swap meet attendance seems to have stabilised
despite gasoline prices and eBay trading, while the US dollar has strengthened internationally in the last half year and the euro
remains pretty strong against sterling. Business seems to have settled, albeit at a lower level, and the Legacy Project to build ten
Police pursuit bikes is proceeding apace.

VL REGISTER
Rob Veitch is still finding more bikes - over 1100 now. Send him your engine numbers by E-Mail at RobVeitch@westnet.co.au I
have a few hard copies of the list available at $10 including postage.

AMCA EUROPEAN CHAPTER
Our second National Meet in Rijswijk, Holland, in May was a success, although the economy and the weather forecast kept numbers
muted compared with last time. Join up if you are not already a member at the main AMCA Website www.antiquemotorcycle.org.

NEW PARTS
I continued to spend time on four speed and reverse gearboxes, and the 1931-35 and 1936 ones are now available rebuilt. Again,
nearly all parts are available if you are doing the work yourself. My new $30 book 'Exotic Harley-Davidson VL Gearboxes' describes
how to rebuild the four speed and the reverse transmissions and remains a triumph of desk top publishing over common sense.

11171-X. Among smaller parts, I made this Corbin head screw in dull nickel plate. Two needed at $5 each.

Wishing you safe and happy riding in 2012, Steve Slocombe.
